Rising star sombr is a 19-year-old singer-songwriter and producer, who writes and produces all of his own music, drawing inspiration from Radiohead and Jeff Buckley. With his hit song "Undressed," Sombre has been named iHeartRadio's newest "On The Verge" artist.
Sombr solely wrote and co-produced "Undressed," and in a statement to iHeartRadio, explained of his song, "I wrote undressed about not wanting to do intimate things with new people after a relationship."
Sombr, whose real name is Shane Boose, is a New York native raised on the Lower East Side. He started making music in his bedroom while studying classical music at LaGuardia High School. Now based in Los Angeles, Sombr continues to explore themes of young romance and heartbreak through his music.
Of his new iHeartRadio "On The Verge" status, sombr shared, "As a kid who grew up listening to the radio, hearing my own music on the radio is a crazy feeling and something that I never expected could be a possibility." He added, "My goal as an artist is to keep touching people with my music for as long as I live."
