Gillette's New #TheBestMenCanBe Campaign Is Splitting The Internet

For as long as I can remember, Gillette's tag line has been "The Best A Man Can Get".  Well the company has decided to change that slogan to "The Best Men Can Be", dealing with all the social issues going on right now, and it is splitting the internet.

I gotta be honest, when I first watched it, it kinda rubbed me the wrong way a little...and my reason why is below.  Scroll.

Some love that Gillette is making a statement...

Others are REALLY unhappy about it...

I gotta be honest, when I first watched it, I was a little put off.

Why is this all on men?  These issues are issues on all sides of the gender spectrum!

Bullying, sexual harassment, homophobia.  All of this needs to be addressed with EVERYONE.

But after the initial "WAIT A SECOND!" reaction wore off, and I thought about it for a sec...

Of course this is geared towards men...because Gillette's main audience and consumer is men!

The campaign isn't blaming everything on males; it addresses the issues with their core, and says men need to step up.  Which I completely agree with.

Now I just think other companies need to step up with the same message!
